Farting Pig

An Australian farmer called the local emergency line when he smelled gas. He feared a dangerous explosion. The fire department rushed to the scene, 15 members strong, only to find that the problem was not a leaking gas line.

The farmer’s 260 pound pig apparently had a faulty sphincter valve, and was spewing gas all over the place.

And, when the fire brigade showed up, it seems the pig got even more excited, squealing and farting like a…well, ummm, like a pig!

To protect it's privacy, the identity of the farting pig has not been revealed.

No specific cause for the pigs digestive issues has been identified. I’m no pig expert, but my guess is that any animal whose diet consists of dead insects, worms, trees, bark and garbage is likely to have farts that smell pretty bad.

While pigs are also known to eat other dead pigs, this has been ruled out as a potential cause. After all, bacon, pork chops, and ham are very delicious…even if you’re a cannibalistic pig.
